OC Techology is proud to announce a partnership with the Global Ocean Race 2011, the 5-legged Round The World Race for Class40 starting on 11 September 2001. A couple of OC Tracker units will be supplied to each one of the 11 entries, one unit to be installed on board and activated for the duration of the race, and the other one stored in the emergency grab bag, as an additional safety device.

Later in 2011, OC Technology will  be supplying OC Trackers as a main tracking system to the second edition of the Barcelona World Race 2011. OC Technology were already a partner of the Fundacio Per la Navegacio Oceanica de Barcelona, organiser of the event, for first edition and are delighted to be pursuing their collaboration in 2011. The Barcelona World Race is a 25,0000 mile double handed race around the globe, from Barcelona to Barcelona, on IMOCA Open 60 boat. OC Technology will provide a couple of OC Tracker to each entry, one to be mounted and activated during the race, and the other one to be stored in the emergency grab bag, as an additional safety device.

The FNOB is also organising the first New York to Barcelona Transoceanic Sailing Record,which will be attempted by two IMOCA Open 60, W Hotels and Estrella Damm. OC Trackers have been fitted on each boat for Race Committee use.
